The client is looking for a C#/.NET expert to consult on a sync component that a third party has developed for them. They need the code audited, tested and modified so that the synchronisation can be parallelised.
The component is designed to run on a Windows server as a user with elevated permissions to access a network shared drive and all Active Directory users. The component then syncronises all users, files and permissions to our API. The core tasks that are required are:
- Code quality audit and potential refactor
- Architecture consulting
- More comprehensive testing
- Additional functionality to parallelise syncing of files
The tasks should ideally be completed by July. The client would like to discuss the timeframe based on an assessment of the code and specification.
Remote work would be possible, but the freelancer should be able to meet with the client at their office initially to discuss and plan the project.
