Kotlin Developer

The client is looking for a Kotlin developer with frontend experience

They offer a web based "laboratory information system" for pathologists, which handles everything a pathology-laboratory would need, including invoicing, hardware controlling, patient data, handling laboratory cameras, communication to patients, communication to suppliers, data processing, generating PDFs etc. etc.

They are looking for support in backend and frontend development and are using Kotlin (specificially coroutines) wherever it's possible. Their backend is build on Vert.X (https://vertx.io/) and uses RocksDB (http://rocksdb.org) and Elasticsearch. The frontend doesn't use a specific framework and is built with Vanilla JS, CSS & HTML (served through Kotlin).

You would work together with the only other developer (who built most of it) and are expected to co-develop it, rather than just work your way through tickets.
