JavaScript Developer (m/w/d)

The client is looking for an experienced JavaScript Developer who has worked with Next.js as well as Gatsby.

The client runs a large e-commerce system using React.js. Server Side Rendering is implemented with custom code and currently doesn't allow for partial rendering, which has become a performance problem.
The goal is now to replace this custom code with either Next.js or Gatsby, which is why the client is looking for a developer experienced with both frameworks, and preferably someone who has already performed a migration from a legacy system to Next.js or Gatsby.

The first task is to understand the current system and do a test integration with Gatsby and Next.js to determine which one (if any) is better suited for the specific use case. This phase is scheduled for 6-8 weeks.

Afterwards, the freelancer has the possibility (not strictly required) to work with the product teams over a period of 4-6 months to implement the change.
