Senior Data Engineer

Der Kunde sucht nach einem erfahrenen Data Engineer mit Fokus auf Data Warehousing mit PostgreSQL. Die Aufgabe des Freelancers wird es sein, die DB-Infrastruktur des Kunden zu konsolidieren und weiterzuentwickeln, darüber hinaus:

The client is looking for an experienced Data Engineer with focus on Data Warehousing using PostgreSQL. The tasks of the freelancer will be to consolidate and maintain
the client's current data warehousing infrastructure, ensure quality and up-to-dateness of data, and help build future solutions for the growing data storage and management needs.

Furthermore:
- Ensure performance, security, and availability of PostgreSQL databases,
- troubleshoot database-related application performance issues,
- be an expert in performance tuning, backup/recovery, and capacity planning,
- import and integrate data from various sources into the data warehouse,
- ensure data quality by implementing processes for data profiling, data cleansing, and data change management,
- write and maintain scripts to automate these complex tasks.

The freelancer should have min. 5 years of professional, hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and in architecting and implementing complex ETL solutions. Additionally, knowledge and understanding of all aspects of database configuration and SQL query tuning are required.

Knowledge in the areas of data mining (using Python and R) and Big Data technologies like NoSQL DBs, Apache Lucene, Hadoop, Spark etc. would be beneficial.
