Job description

Successful Operating System Engineering: The engineer has the knowledge to transfers the design into the target environment. He tests and documents the environment accordingly.

Continuous Improvement and Adaptation: The Operating System Engineer actively validates the status of the environment in his responsibility and ensures to keep the configuration up to date.

Skills (must-have):
- Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu)
o Detailed knowledge about the Linux lifecycle (install, maintain, de commission)
o Installation of new operating system on new and existing hardware
o Patching of operating systems
o Linux user management
o Integration into observability
- Linux management – administration / automation
o Automation integration with Ansible
o Installation, and configuration of DevOps and system management tools
o Ability to develop new operating systems standards (golden image), maintenance of golden images
o Linux security and CIS-hardening
- Deep experience in at least one of the following tools:
o Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform
o Red Hat Satellite Server
- Agile & Scrum Mastery
o Experience in Agile methodologies and Scrum practices
o Experience in Jira, Confluence and/or Miro
- English Fluency: Fluent in English, with a minimum proficiency of level C1

Skills (should-have):
- Experienced in Bash Scripting, Python or Pearl
- Familiar with GitLab (Repo and Pipeline)
- Certificate as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
