Platform QA Engineer (f/m/d) for e2e Tests with strong Cloud native/DevOps-Background

For our client we are looking for a Platform QA Engineer (f/m/d) for e2e Tests with strong Cloud native/DevOps-Background.

Team:
The Delivery Program Line is responsible for the design, rollout, and continuous optimization of a software delivery function.
To accelerate software delivery, the focus lies on optimizing engineering workflows, increasing automation levels, and introducing modern development tools—including AI-assisted capabilities. Development pipelines are structured to support rapid iteration, reliable test automation, and safe deployment, ensuring high-quality outputs with reduced lead times.
Architectural and operational oversight is provided to proactively identify and resolve technical delivery risks. This includes performing deep technical analyses, prioritizing issues based on program impact, and implementing structural improvements informed by real-world usage and escalations. Feedback loops are continuously maintained to refine both the platform and the associated development practices, supporting sustainable growth across distributed engineering domains.

Tasks / Objectives:
- Platform e2e testing
- Analyze requirements and dependencies for Kubernetes as a Service, data services (K8s-based operations for data technologies), and DevOps tools
- Design and implement automated end-to-end platform tests
- Coordination with Product Line QA to maintain and improve test coverage across all testing levels (according to the testing pyramid)
- Perform test planning, test case design, manual execution, and automation
- Conduct regression testing and provide final QA approval for releases
- Log, track, and validate bug fixes
- Prepare and present comprehensive QA reports for the Product Management team
- Validate core platform functionality through automated end-to-end testing
- Designing, implementation, and maintaining of automated test scenarios covering key platform workflows and crossservice interactions
- Executing of regression and release validation tests to ensure reliability and performance before deployments
- Establish and maintain high-quality test coverage across all levels
- Maintaining of a balanced test strategy aligned with the testing pyramid (unit, integration, system, end-to-end) - Coordination of test scope with delivery priorities and technical architecture of Kubernetes-as-a-Service, data services, and DevOps tools
- Performing of manual test execution where automation is not feasible or during early iterations
- Identify and resolve quality risks in the delivery pipeline
- Consulting on architectural and operational risks based on platform usage patterns and incident reports
- Analyzing of test failures and recurring defects to inform structural quality improvements
- Ensure transparency and accountability through test reporting
- Preparation and maintaining of test documentation including test cases, coverage reports, and test outcomes
