Senior Openshift Engineer (w/m/d)

Für unseren Kunden suchen wir einen Senior Engineer (f/m/d) OpenShift.

Project description:
This project involves the optimization and automation of an existing High Availability (HA) OpenShift Enterprise on-premise environment consisting of multiple clusters in various IT zones with attached file storage etc. The project aims to enhance the current environment by implementing RHACM and ACS, finalizing pipelining, addressing health check findings, implementing GitOps, IaC, a registry and robustly preparing the environment for a handover to the operations team.

Tasks:
- Implementation of Red Hat Application Cluster Management (RHACM) for managing clusters and applications across multiple datacenters.
- Implementation of Advanced Cluster Security (ACS) to increase security level.
- Completion of the development and deployment pipeline processes, ensuring seamless integration and delivery.
- Identification and resolution of any issues highlighted in the health check.
- Implementation of GitOps for automated continuous deployment of applications.
- Integration of a registry (Harbor or similar tools) for managing container images.
- Strengthening of the environment to ensure stability and reliability, preparing it for a safe handover to the operations team.

helpful experience:
- Extensive experience with OpenShift Enterprise, including HA environments. Proficiency in Red Hat Application Cluster Management (RHACM) implementation.
- Experience in implementation of Advanced Cluster Security (ACS).
- Strong background in CI/CD pipeline development and management.
- Experience with ArgoCD and container image management tools like Harbor.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues identified in health checks.
- Strong skills in automating and optimizing IT environments.
- Experience with other container orchestration platforms like RKE.
- Familiarity with other continuous deployment tools.
- Experience in transitioning systems or environments to operations teams.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
