React Native Dev for iPad App

For one of our clients, we are looking for an experienced React Native Developer (Freelancer) to build a new mobile app for iPad (later possibly also iPhone). The app is targeted at senior managers and enables access to meeting agendas, minutes, and documents.

The project starts on a greenfield basis – there is no design yet; this will be developed in parallel by an agency. The goal is to deliver a first MVP by the end of the year, primarily providing read-only access to documents and agendas (including annotations and optionally uploading new versions).

After successful implementation, a part-time maintenance phase is planned.

Responsibilities
• Develop a new iPad app using React Native
• Connect to existing APIs (Microsoft Azure Tenant, customer-specific endpoints)
• Implement a configurable setup per customer (similar to a whitelabel approach)
• Work closely with an external design agency to implement the UI/UX concept
• Prepare distribution via Apple App Store / TestFlight
• Ensure a stable and secure app architecture

Requirements
• Several years of experience with React Native (ideally with iOS/iPadOS focus)
• Experience in the Apple ecosystem (App Store, TestFlight, distribution, certificates)
• Knowledge of API integration (REST/GraphQL)
• Independent working style, as the project requires strong self-organization
• Experience with whitelabel/configurable apps is a plus
• Project language: English (German optional)

Project Details
• Start: ASAP
• Duration: approx. 12 weeks until MVP (deadline: end of year)
• Afterwards: Maintenance on a part-time/as-needed basis
• Remote work possible, occasional check-ins required
