Update: our cooperation with Vantik has ended in February 2022

Recently, some of our members have expressed the wish to learn more about different savings and retirement options for freelancers. A survey during our webinar also revealed that most of the attendees associated the words "confused" and "scared" with thinking about their pension. Since we also think that the market of pension offerings in Germany is diverse but non-transparent, we wanted to give our members a better overview so that everyone can decide individually on a pension strategy.

Update July 2020 - the Welance coworking space does not exist anymore unfortunately!

In times where working remotely is becoming more and more normal among freelancers as well as regular employees, the challenge for everyone who cannot (or does not want to) work from home or a nearby café is to find a suitable coworking space. Recommendations for good coworking spaces are requested regularly in our community, so we decided to try to find a space that we can recommend to our members in Berlin.

We're happy to report that we found one in Welance!

If you are not yet using a capable software for your invoicing and accounting, you are probably spending too much time on it!

Announcing our cooperation with the tax consultancy Führer & Orgel

Dealing with taxes is an unavoidable part of being self-employed. Especially in Germany, where bureaucracy and tax laws are notoriously complicated, it's important to have a knowledgeable expert at your side—either to do all the sorting and filing for you or at least to consult with when important questions come up.

Today we want to announce our partnership with the tax consultancy Führer & Orgel, who we have been working with for over 10 years (so even before Uplink was born about 2.5 years ago). They have been a reliable partner and helped us—and many freelancers and small companies that we referred to them—with all tax-related issues we have encountered over the years.
