Last week, we had the please to host our last IPAs & APIs Freelancer Meetup for the year! 🥳 🍻

The location was our tried and trusted bar Straßenbräu, which we've been to a few times before, and it turned out to be a great evening with many old and new faces!

This time, the whole Uplink team (Manuel, Nick, Lea and Maike) was there, since we took the opportunity to get everyone together in Berlin for some team activities in the days after the meetup. As you might know, we are "remote first", so it was the first time in a while that all of us were in the same room! 👯‍♀️ 👯

On June 8, we organized a "Freelance Summer Fest" in cooperation with CodeControl & 9am at Jules Beergarden in Berlin!

It was a fantastic event and about 100 people showed up, many of them members of the Uplink or CodeControl communities, but also new freelancers who had seen the invitations. We really enjoyed spending time together, especially since we hadn't seen many of the people who came by in 2 years due to Corona.

We're stoked to be able to organize our regular community events again! 🥳

On October 14, we returned to our beloved craft beer brewery and bar Straßenbräu, which has hosted our meetups many times before.

As expected, it turned out to be a great evening with many tasty beers, and a chance for us to meet some new members from our community!

Before Corona hit Germany in early 2020, we organized a monthly community meetup in Berlin, and it was honestly one of the most fun and energizing party of running Uplink! 😄 Meeting so many like-minded freelancers and enjoying a few delicious craft beers together reminded us why we had started this community in the first place!

What better way to start the roaring 20s than to meet some fellow freelancers for a nice evening of cold drinks and inspiring conversations?

On January 10, we did just that and met at the wonderful Bräugier Brewpub in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg!

For our last community meetup in Berlin we returned to one of our regular bars - the Straßenbräu in Friedrichshain!

It turned out to be a great night again, and seeing new members turn up and meet some of the old dogs is always fantastic!

On August 30, we invited our Munich-based members out for a beer for the second time! This time the location was the Container Collective in Werksviertel, a pretty cool "pop-up city" built with containers and all kinds of shops, bars and creative spaces.

On July 25, a good chunk of the Berlin Uplink community got together again to enjoy each other's company while sipping on a good cold beer! We returned to Straßenbräu, a fantastic brewery and bar near Ostkreuz, where a previous meetup in 2018 already took place.

In beginning of June, the Uplink community in Berlin got together once again to discuss the important things in life over a few cold beers. The location this time was the lovely "Tiergartenquelle" in – you guessed it – the Tiergarten district.

On April 5 it was time for our next "IPAs and APIs" community meetup and oh boy, was it a fun one! Lots of new faces as well as old ones happy to see each other again.

It's really inspiring to see our community come together at these meetups to share stories from the trenches, make plans for joined projects or simply enjoy a few pints of good beer! And The Muted Horn is a fantastic location to do so, with super-friendly staff and a craft beer selection that keeps you entertained all night long.
